It's Their Fault

“It’s their fault”, that’s what you say

They need to change the rules in order for you to play

But what if, sometimes, you met them in the middle

Explained your situation, to them, it’s a riddle

See, here’s what I think, you’ve overreacted

Assuming there’s hate, you have self-branded

Given yourself a label, that one you despise

Now you’re the outcast, but not in their eyes.

Don’t get me wrong, there’re idiots in this world

Shouting abuse, and to you it is hurled

But most people just aren’t aware

So, it’s down to you, stand up and share

Once they have knowledge, they may understand

Some will walk with you hand in hand

Others you find will entirely disagree

It’s not your job to plead their insanity

Regardless of the outcome we all want the same

In proving our worthiness to be part of the game

You’re more like the rest of us than what you think

Please don’t be a self-entitled prick
