The Wandering Englishman

You know how before you hop on a plane people always feel the need to tell you horror stories and then make you promise not to fall from the sky? You know how if something’s going to happen it’ll happen to my family because we’re all fruit loops? And you know how, regardless of what the situation is, I usually find myself thinking; “Damn, this will make a decent blog?” Well, my friends, what a tale I have to tell. For the most part, my recent trip to Istanbul was rat...

Do you ever have those days that are unexplainably stressful? The ones where you wake up in the morning and think, what the hell am I doing with life. To be fair, the latter happens most mornings for me and that’s how I know I’m on the right path, but Friday was, without a doubt, one of those days.

I wouldn’t normally publish something concerning another person when it remains raw and unresolved. However, with the help of anonymity and in the hope that it may help someone else in a similar situation start to unpick what addiction means for them, here is my perspective of it.

A Perfect Introduction

It was my birthday on Sunday, so instead of a blog, I decided to throw caution to the wind by contacting Oprah (and others) to see if she would be so kind as to read and repost my ramblings. Clearly, she was busy because she’s not got back to me yet, therefore I can’t tell you how we’ve become best friends. Although my pre-birthday family meal is a far cry from the glitz and glam of all things Hollywood, it’s probably more entertaining, and it’s the perfect introduc...
