You say I'm not normal

You say I’m not normal, but what do you mean?

You claim I don’t fit in, explain that to me

What you think is crazy is another person’s bore

I am not an expert, but I know this for sure

So, let’s get back to your definition.

I’m not a genius, but I’ve had a premonition

While you’re sitting behind the screen

Ranting about who shouldn’t be seen

Those you call outcasts are changing the world

And you’re so outraged, you haven’t even heard

Before you spout out more of your drivel

Can I ask a question, it is rather pivotal?

If, on this earth everyone was the same

No blacks, cripples, religions or gays

Would you nit-pick at the colour of his hair?

Or would her freckles make you go spare?

See, I think you are the type

Who gets sucked in by the hype

You never have time to stand by the mirror

To look at yourself and create a true picture

But if you do, come back to me

We’ll have a chat over some tea

Defining what’s normal, in the interim

Only serves to make you seem dim

So, do me a favour, abandon your vanity

There is no normal, just humanity
